Dear Greek Letter Organization,
Greekfest Carolina is hosting its 1st Annual Party Walk Competition. The show is sure to be full of excitement and very competitive. As we have observed this event grow more over the years, this year’s committee has made it our goal to make this year’s event the best ever. On behalf of the entire committee, we would like to invite your organization/step team to participate in the hottest stepshow of the summer.
The Greekfest Carolina Party Walk Competition will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2006 beginning at 3:00pm. If your organization would like to compete please complete and return the registration form by Monday, August 15, 2006 to

Please govern yourselves accordingly to the inserts pertaining to the registration application and the expectations of each organization’s step team pertaining to the actual choreography, equipment, judging criteria, and case prizes. NEED TO KNOW INFO
PERFORMANCE:
The maximum performance time allowed will be 15 minutes. Points will be deducted for exceeding the time limit. The order of the performance will be determined at the beginning of the event by confirmation of participating teams. Your time will begin when your music starts. If there is no music the time will begin with your entrance or when the first step begins.
EQUIPMENT:
Please bring all necessary equipment to perform your choreography such as tapes, CD’s, props, etc….. No explosives or fireworks are allowed.
CASH PRIZES:
The winner will receive their award in the form of a check at the end of the competition. The check will be made payable to the organization.
JUDGING CRITERIA:
Judges will be Alumni Greek members that are familiar with the art of stepping. Each organization will have representations as judges and a team captain from each team will meet with the judges. Profanity, obscene gestures and defaming organizations will not be tolerated and will result in point deduction. The judging criteria is as follows:
- Creativity/Originality
- Clarity
- Difficulty. Complexity
- Unity
- Precision
- Overall Performance
